From what I've noticed and researched on, historical buildings in Singapore, are normally being demolished for urban development but there are a few that have been conserved. These buildings are usually repurposed to a more commercial and functional spaces such as the old CHIJ School to Chijmes which is a bar and restaurant and a popular venue for weddings or the Tao Nan School which is converted into the Peranakan Museum. Being under the conservation rights, the architecture of the building is retained but the inside takes a change, depending on the function and design applied to it. Through the research, I've listed down a list of places in Singapore which has been converted from 1 function to another function through time.
